UBi – Der KI-Chatbot der Universit\u00e4tsbibliothek Mannheim<\/strong> unterst\u00fctzt rund um die Uhr bei Fragen zu \u00d6ffnungszeiten, Auslastung, Ausleihe sowie zu den Services der Universit\u00e4tsbibliothek. F\u00fcr Literaturrecherchen nutzen Sie bitte weiterhin unseren Bibliothekskatalog<\/strong><\/a> Primo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ziel des neuen Angebots ist es, den Zugang zu Informationen zu erleichtern und den Bibliotheksservice noch nutzerfreundlicher zu gestalten. Die pers\u00f6nliche Beratung durch das Bibliotheksteam bleibt selbstverst\u00e4ndlich bestehen und wird durch den Chatbot sinnvoll erg\u00e4nzt. Sie erreichen uns weiterhin an den Infotheken, im Infocenter, via Mail und \u00fcber den UB-Chat<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Feedback in der Beta-Phase<\/strong>: Ausdr\u00fccklich erw\u00fcnscht!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Der KI-Chatbot wird zun\u00e4chst in einer Beta-Version bereitgestellt. In dieser Phase steht das Feedback der Nutzenden im Mittelpunkt. R\u00fcckmeldungen zu Verst\u00e4ndlichkeit, Funktionalit\u00e4t und Nutzen sind von zentraler Bedeutung, um den Chatbot kontinuierlich weiterzuentwickeln und gezielt zu optimieren. Auf diese Weise soll das Angebot schrittweise verbessert und st\u00e4rker an die Bed\u00fcrfnisse der Bibliotheksnutzer*innen angepasst werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mannheim University Library is expanding its digital service offerings and will make its new AI chatbot available in a beta version<\/strong> starting February 10, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UBi \u2013 the AI chatbot<\/a> of Mannheim University Library<\/strong> provides 24\/7 support for questions about opening hours, occupancy, borrowing, and the services of the University Library. For literature searches, please continue to use our library catalogue Primo<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim of this new service is to make access to information easier and to further improve the user-friendliness of library services. Personal consultation by the library team will of course remain available and will be meaningfully complemented by the chatbot. You can still reach us at the information desks, in the Information Center, by email, and via the UB-Chat<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Feedback during the beta phase: explicitly welcome!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The AI chatbot will initially be provided in a beta version. During this phase, user feedback is a key focus. Comments on clarity, functionality, and usefulness are essential for the continuous development and targeted optimization of the chatbot. In this way, the service will be gradually improved and more closely tailored to the needs of library users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
