Obergeschoss)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bibliotheksbereich A3 (voraussichtlich ab August wieder ge\u00f6ffnet)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kurzfristige auftretende technische Probleme der Anlagen, die zu St\u00f6rungen oder Ausf\u00e4llen f\u00fchren, werden von den zust\u00e4ndigen Stellen schnellstm\u00f6glich behoben. Bitte haben Sie Verst\u00e4ndnis daf\u00fcr, dass die Mitarbeitenden in den Bibliotheksbereichen und auch der Wachdienst selbst keinen Zugriff auf die technischen Anlagen haben. In l\u00e4nger anhaltenden Hitzeperioden mit Spitzenwerten deutlich \u00fcber 30 Grad sto\u00dfen die Klimaanlagen an ihre Leistungsgrenzen, so dass w\u00e4hrend extremer Hitzeereignisse mit Einschr\u00e4nkungen der K\u00fchlung oder zeitweisen Ausf\u00e4llen zu rechnen ist, die kurzfristig nicht behoben werden k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sollte die Temperatur w\u00e4hrend einer Hitzewelle in einzelnen Benutzungsbereichen durch den Ausfall der Klimatisierung ein vertretbares Ma\u00df \u00fcberschreiten, kann es notwendig werden, Bibliotheksbereiche vor\u00fcbergehend zu schlie\u00dfen, um die Gesundheit und Sicherheit der Nutzenden zu sch\u00fctzen. Uns ist bewusst, dass hohe Temperaturen das Lernen und Arbeiten erheblich erschweren. Wir setzen alles daran, Ihnen auch an hei\u00dfen Tagen m\u00f6glichst gute Lern- und Arbeitsbedingungen zu bieten und informieren Sie \u00fcber aktuelle Entwicklungen und notwendige Ma\u00dfnahmen so fr\u00fch wie m\u00f6glich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vielen Dank f\u00fcr Ihr Verst\u00e4ndnis, Ihre Geduld und Ihren respektvollen Umgang mit den Mitarbeitenden vor Ort \u2013 gemeinsam kommen wir hoffentlich gut durch den Sommer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading englisch\"><strong>Air Conditioning in the Subject Libraries<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"englisch wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Even after the record highs of recent weeks, the summer temperatures in the University Library continue to result in increased cooling requirements.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"englisch wp-block-paragraph\">The following subject libaries are equipped with ventilation systems with cooling functions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"englisch\">Central Lending Library Schloss Westfl\u00fcgel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"englisch\">Schloss Schneckenhof Library (except for the Learning Center, Leisesaal and group study zone on the ground floor)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"englisch\">Schloss Ehrenhof Library (except for the Library for Accounting &amp; Taxation and the group study rooms on the 3rd floor)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"englisch\">A3 Library (expected to reopen from August)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"englisch wp-block-paragraph\">Technical problems with the systems that occur at short notice and lead to disruptions or outages will be resolved as quickly as possible by the responsible staff. Please understand that staff in the University Library and the security service themselves do not have access to the technical systems. During prolonged heat periods with peak temperatures well above 30 degrees Celsius, the air-conditioning systems reach their performance limits, meaning that restrictions to cooling or temporary outages must be expected during extreme heat events and cannot be remedied at short notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"englisch wp-block-paragraph\">If, during a heatwave, temperatures in individual subject libraries exceed an acceptable level due to a failure of the air conditioning, it may become necessary to temporarily close subject libraries in order to protect the health and safety of our visitors. We are aware that high temperatures make studying and working considerably more difficult.
